Up to one million fans are expected to line the streets of Seattle today as the Seahawks celebrate their Super Bowl 60 triumph over the New England Patriots.

City officials estimate that between 750,000 and a seven-figure crowd will descend upon the Emerald City for the festivities.

Parade route and timings

The celebrations are scheduled to commence with a formal trophy presentation at Lumen Field at 10:00 local time.

Following the stadium event, the official victory procession will begin at 11:00.

The NFC champions will travel northbound on 4th Avenue, starting from Washington Street and concluding at Cedar Street.

Organizers expect the journey through downtown to last approximately two hours.

A historic double

This event marks the culmination of a dominant 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots.

It secures a second Lombardi Trophy for the franchise, adding to their maiden title secured a decade ago.

The Seahawks previously claimed the sport’s ultimate prize by dismantling the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 48 on 2 February 2014.

Now, a new generation of legends joins the pantheon of Pacific Northwest sports history as the city prepares to come to a standstill.
