Arsenal cleared to sign Midtjylland winger Dario Osorio this summer
Premier League champions Arsenal have been given the green light to sign FC Midtjylland winger Dario Osorio following an impressive season in Denmark.
The 22-year-old Chilean international registered eight goals and 10 assists across all competitions last term.
The Gunners initially registered their interest during the previous summer window but a move ultimately failed to materialise.
Premier League interest intensifies
Midtjylland technical director Kristian Kjaer has now confirmed the north London club are actively monitoring the highly-rated attacker.
We know that Arsenal have been looking into Osorio, but we also know other clubs in the Premier League have done the same.
Kjaer also noted that Bournemouth have historically tracked the South American prospect, alongside previous interest from Liverpool.
Following in Sanchez’s footsteps
The versatile forward operates predominantly on the right flank but is highly capable of cutting inside on his favoured left foot.
He has the full package, seen as the next Alexis Sanchez in Chile. I can see him making a difference in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta’s side are actively exploring wide options as they prepare to defend their domestic league title.
Focus on attacking reinforcements
The potential departures of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have accelerated the need for wide recruits at Emirates Stadium.
Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers has also emerged as a significant target for the capital club.
However, securing the Midtjylland star could prove a more viable option under the Danish side’s established transfer model.
Our idea is to sell players to the biggest leagues, especially also the Premier League.
The Scandinavian outfit are already preparing for the lucrative departure of 21-year-old forward Franculino Dju amid heavy interest from German clubs.
