Arsenal have confirmed the departure of 10 players this summer, including the permanent sale of defender Jakub Kiwior to Porto.

The Gunners are reshaping their squad following their recent Premier League title victory, with several prospects and fringe players heading for the exit.

The summer transfer window opened on Monday and the north London club have wasted no time in streamlining their ranks.

Kiwior and Hein secure permanent exits

Polish international Kiwior will join Porto on a four-year contract in a deal worth an initial £14.7m, with a further £4.3m in potential bonuses.

The centre-back spent the previous season on loan with the Portuguese giants, helping them secure the Primeira Liga title.

His departure will largely recoup the £20m fee paid to Spezia for his services in January 2023.

Meanwhile, Estonian goalkeeper Karl Hein has agreed a £2.6m switch to Werder Bremen following a successful loan spell in Germany.

Vieira and Nelson futures remain uncertain

Further funds could be raised through the potential sales of Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson in the coming weeks.

Winger Nelson has returned to the Emirates Stadium after Brentford declined to trigger a reported £15m permanent option following his loan stint.

Similarly, Hamburg have allowed a £19m purchase clause for Vieira to expire following his spell in the Bundesliga.

However, negotiations over a reduced fee for the Portuguese midfielder could still take place as the German side look to secure his signature.

Academy prospects released

Alongside the senior sales, eight youth players will leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of June.

Seb Ferdinand, who trained with the first-team squad this season, departs alongside Cam’ron Ismail, Will Lannin-Sweet and Harrison Dudziak.

The latter trio all gained valuable first-team experience during loan spells away from the club this term.

Josh Nichols, Sam Chapman, Samuel Onyekachukwu and Alexei Rojas-Fedorushchenko complete the list of youngsters seeking new opportunities elsewhere.
