Arsenal sign Georgia Stanway on free transfer after Bayern Munich exit
Arsenal have completed the signing of England midfielder Georgia Stanway on a permanent deal following the expiration of her contract at Bayern Munich.
The 27-year-old returns to the Women’s Super League after a highly successful four-year spell in Germany.
She will wear the number four shirt at Emirates Stadium ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
A proven winner returns to England
The former Manchester City player arrives in North London with an exceptional pedigree of domestic and international success.
During her time in Bavaria, the dynamic midfielder secured the Bundesliga title in each of her four seasons, alongside two German Cups and two German Super Cups.
She contributed 32 goals in 128 appearances across all competitions for the German giants.
Prior to her European venture, the two-time European champion spent seven years at City, claiming one WSL title, three FA Cups and three League Cups.

The prolific international, who has netted 33 times in 93 appearances and helped England win back-to-back European Championships in 2022 and 2025, expressed immense pride in joining the Gunners.
