Aston Villa sign West Ham defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in initial loan deal
Aston Villa have completed the signing of DR Congo right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from West Ham United on a season-long loan with a conditional obligation to buy.
The exact terms of the agreement remain undisclosed, although the Hammers previously asked interested clubs to pay a £25m fee.
The 28-year-old missed the opening two matches of West Ham’s Championship campaign while negotiating his return to the Premier League.
European ambitions under Emery
The former Manchester United defender could make his debut for the Villans during their league opener at Brighton on Sunday.
His arrival bolsters a squad preparing for Champions League football, following a stellar campaign where Unai Emery guided the club to a fourth-place finish and Europa League glory.
The lightning-fast full-back brings significant top-flight experience, having amassed 190 appearances during his time at Old Trafford.

During his successful stint in Manchester, he secured major honours including the League Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.
He joined the east London side in 2024 on a seven-year contract, making 65 appearances across two seasons before their relegation to the second tier.
