Jamie Carragher prefers Harry Kane to Erling Haaland in World Cup debate
Former England defender Jamie Carragher has revealed he would select Harry Kane over Erling Haaland ahead of Saturday’s crucial World Cup quarter-final between England and Norway.

Despite acknowledging the Norwegian as a generational talent, the television pundit believes the England captain offers superior overall contributions on the pitch.
“I’ve got to say Kane,” Carragher said. “I love Harry Kane. I think there’s a bit more to Harry Kane’s game than Erling Haaland.”

While the Three Lions skipper takes his preference, Carragher offered immense praise for the 25-year-old Scandinavian.
The former Liverpool defender predicts the prolific marksman will eventually surpass 1,000 career goals, matching the ambition of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The towering forward already boasts an astonishing 379 career goals, including a remarkable 62 strikes in just 54 international appearances.
“I actually think Erling Haaland, when he finishes his career, will be remembered as the greatest goalscorer of all time,” Carragher stated.
“His record at international level blows Lionel Messi and Ronaldo’s apart after 50 or 60 games. He’s a freak, he’s a phenomenon.”
