New Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has promised supporters that the club will make multiple signings before the transfer window closes, ahead of his first Premier League match in charge at Newcastle United on Sunday.
The 44-year-old took over at Anfield just over two months ago after replacing Arne Slot.
The Reds are looking to rebuild following a dismal title defence last season, suffering 12 top-flight defeats to finish fifth in the table.
The Basque tactician arrived on Merseyside having guided his former club Bournemouth to their highest-ever finish of sixth place during his final year on the south coast.

Speaking to former Reds captain Jamie Carragher, the new man in the dugout addressed growing nervousness among the fanbase regarding a lack of summer arrivals.
“We’ll definitely sign players, yes. I hope more than one.”
“The thing is, me as a coach selfishly, I want the players for the first day of pre-season so everyone is ready to go, but also I understand how this works.”
The former Bournemouth boss acknowledged that the current squad remains thin ahead of a demanding campaign.

When asked about the differences in recruiting for title challengers compared to his previous employers, he noted that financial expectations shift significantly.
“Probably the money, the level of the player is different, but the issues normally are the same.”
“Some deals you cannot do in the beginning, you have to wait and you have your hopes of ‘let’s think that this is possible’.”
