Manchester United sign Swansea goalkeeper Kit Margetson in compensation deal
Manchester United have completed the signing of 19-year-old goalkeeper Kit Margetson from Championship side Swansea City after agreeing a compensation package.
The Welsh youth international moves to Old Trafford following the expiration of his contract in south Wales.
Swansea will receive remuneration for developing the highly-rated prospect, who had been on their books since under-15 level.
European experience
The teenager spent last season on loan at Cymru Premier outfit Connah’s Quay Nomads.
He kept 10 clean sheets in 34 appearances for the Welsh side, helping them successfully qualify for the Europa League.
The young shot-stopper also boasts international pedigree, having made his Under-21s debut for Wales against Belarus in March.
He is the son of former England and current Wales goalkeeping coach Martyn Margetson.

Midfield reinforcements targeted
The Old Trafford hierarchy are continuing their search for further reinforcements following the recent arrivals of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
Reports in Italy suggest an agreement in principle has already been reached on personal terms with Roma midfielder Manu Kone.
The Premier League side are reportedly prepared to submit an offer of £42.7m for the French World Cup star.
However, they face stiff competition for the 23-year-old’s signature from Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli.
Real Madrid duo Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga are also rumoured to be on the radar as the summer transfer window accelerates.
