Moises Caicedo has signed a lucrative contract extension with Chelsea until June 2033, expressing unwavering confidence that the club will overcome their current struggles.

The Ecuador international committed his long-term future to the Blues last month despite a miserable run of Premier League form.

Chelsea have suffered six consecutive domestic league defeats, completely ending any lingering hopes of Champions League qualification.

Belief in a Blues revival

The 24-year-old remains highly optimistic about eventually returning the London side to the summit of English football.

“Because I believe that in this thing we can do a lot of things together, so it makes me sign a new contract here.” Moises Caicedo told TNT Sports
“I am convinced that we are not in a very good moment, but I am convinced we are going to come back and we are going to put ourselves back where Chelsea belong.”

The former Brighton midfielder has made 144 appearances since moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2023.

FA Cup final offers a silver lining

Club captain Reece James has also recently agreed fresh terms to stay with the struggling heavyweights.

Interim manager Calum McFarlane has successfully guided his squad into the upcoming FA Cup final.

This knockout showpiece represents a crucial opportunity for silverware during an otherwise deeply disappointing campaign.

Next up for the combative midfielder and his team-mates is a daunting Saturday trip to face Liverpool at Anfield.
